Installations and Festivals
In April of 2020, I was a featured artist on Creative Unicorns’ YouTube exhibition and artist meet. I gave my presentation from my car in our parking lot – the only safe space available to me during the Covid-19 pandemic.
After my presentation, I drew portraits of the other artists to commemorate our meeting.
Creativeuto.ca invited me to return as the host for their weekly artist meet. I have continued to draw artists for them as well.
In March of 2020, I created two on site pieces for the Gladstone Hotel’s Grow Op 2020, A Love Affair with Plastic and The Gladstone Experience.
I installed A Love Affair with Plastic during the set up of the room. The Gladstone Experience was a portrait response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2015, the Queen West Art Crawl partnered me with sponsor The Pemberton Group. I pre-painted newspaper and then drew festival goers during the event.
Parkdale’s Lab Cab is a is an annual multi-arts festival. I drew 1 minute blind contour drawings. These are seldom accurate but often capture some of the essence of the subject.
Kensington Market Art Fair is an open air event. I drew 2, 5, and 20 minute mixed media portraits.
